An introduction to willow- we'll start at the beginning with this short online workshop, giving you an opportunity to experience the pleasure of simple weaving and to welcome you to my new website. Each kit has 5 living sticks and a bundle of weavers, enough for all the family to have a go.

About the Event

Prior to the event you'll either collect* or receive in the post** your kit of 5 sticks for planting and a small bundle of coloured bark willows, enough to make 5 leaves. During the online Zoom workshop you'll be shown how to weave 'leaves', which will act as markers whilst the willows are taking root. There will be a short talk on how to grow and maintain your planted willows followed by a question and answer session and we'll finish with a slideshow of living willow structures.

*when you book online you will have the option of collecting your willow kit from outside Salt Cellar Workshops, Porthleven. 

(If you live locally this would be considerably cheaper as post for 1m. long parcels is expensive)

  • Collect from Porthleven

    if you want to collect your willows in person rather than having to pay extra for postage, then this is the ticket is for you. You can book this option until 10.a.m , Wednesday 3rd March Collection from 2-5 p.m from outside Salt Cellar Workshops, Porthleven on Friday 5th March, or please ring 01736 762055 for alternative arrangements.

  • willows to be sent by post

    this ticket option includes the cost of postage in the U.K for willows sent by Royal Mail, signed for, next day delivery. I cannot ship overseas. Bookings will end at 10 a.m on Wednesday 3rd March to allow time for cutting and posting.
