Wire  Weaving

I work mainly with stainless steel wire rope as it lends itself well to the diagonal and cycloid weaving techniques that I am exploring.

The cycloid technique appears to have developed in the some of the islands around Borneo, Thailand and Burma. Rattan is the most commonly used material, though this is slowly being replaced by plastic wire for the sake of longevity.

I also use recycled cables, telephone wire and coloured copper wire.

My stainless steel wire rope is kindly supplied by S3i Group, U.K
