Thankyou Dawn, Best of British Design, for designing this website for me

Updated: Feb 19, 2021

Welcome to my new website, have a browse around my studio in Salt Cellar Workshops, Porthleven, Cornwall and see images taken over many enjoyable years of basketmaking.

You'll find booking details for a very simple Introduction to Willow workshop on the COURSES page, specially designed so that families and all ages can participate.

For the last few years I've been working with stainless steel wire rope rather more than willow as I'm exploring the cycloid weave, usually found in rattan basketry in the Far East. I like using the wire rope as it lends itself well to this type of weaving and can be used for permanent outdoor structures. Here are two Spinning Teardrops, though when they are dropped they form a more spherical shape, as in the one sitting on the floor. And in case you were wondering- the squeaking noise is actually a squawking seagull on the roof. The sea is just outside.
